The CardMan reader product family enables the connection of a smartcard to any PC and notebook. The range of CardManR reader includes serial, PCMCIA, USB, integrated keyboard and USB dongles. Following software interfaces are supported: PC/SC, CT-API and the Utimaco Safeware CardMan API. Moreover, CardMan readers are compatible with the Home Banking Computer Interface (HBCI) and the Hongkong smart ID card related applications. Its unique mechanism provides reliable performance for security, Internet security, e-commerce, home banking, credit card transactions, access control, GSM applications and PKI.

Installation is completely plug&play with full support for Microsoft operation systems. It is the first smart card reader in the world to pass the Microsoft's PC/SC-certification and is compliant with EMV3.1.1. All CardMan products correspond to the ISO 7816 standard.
